No. The protector is applied to the outsole bottom. Grip is maintained by the protector's surface, which is designed for traction on standard surfaces.
Can I remove it without damaging my sole? +
Yes. The adhesive is designed for clean and easy removal.

After extended use, gently warm the Sole Armor with a household hair dryer, then slowly peel it off by hand from one corner.

After removal, some adhesive residue may remain on the outsole — simply rub it off with the included Crepe Eraser and the remaining residue comes off easily. No damage to sole paint or icy translucent soles.
Does it work on yellowed soles? +
It prevents further yellowing. For soles already yellowed, it won't reverse damage — but it will stop it from getting worse.
How long does it last? +
